Moving is hard! Moving to one of the most competitive real estate markets (San Jose) is even harder. Thankfully, we had Sydney Ereno to help us navigate the very fast moving market. We had a very short time frame and we lived out of state, so we were dealing with Sydney over the phone a lot. She was always available and very responsive if we couldn't get in touch right away. When we flew to San Jose for our first house hunting trip and met her in person, we knew it was going to be a good partnership. She is so calm and collected and works very hard to educate you and set expectations. She has in-depth knowledge on all the neighborhoods in San Jose (Blossom Valley, Willow Glen, etc) and was able to steer us in the right direction for the house we wanted. The really surprising part for us was how engaged she was, not just throughout the process, but afterwards as well. When we needed recommendations on contractors, gardeners, or even a place to eat, she was our best resource. We are still in touch with her three months later! We definitely give Sydney top marks without reservation.

This review is long overdue. Sydney helped my husband and me purchase a new home a few months ago, and while the house hunting process can be quite stressful, Sydney put us at ease with her professionalism and knowledge of the housing market. She was receptive to our needs and she gave us great advice and insight about various neighborhoods we were considering. Whenever we identified homes we were interested in, Sydney previewed them immediately to ensure that we would not waste our time going out to view houses that did not meet our requirements or expectations. She is quick when responding to emails, texts, or phone calls, and her open communication and ability to work efficiently are qualities we greatly valued and appreciated. Most importantly, Sydney made what can be a stressful process one that was enjoyable, and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. I could not recommend her enough to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

My experience with the real estate market is limited, but I can't imagine that agents get any better than Sydney! My husband and I started looking for our first home in September 2012. The market was starting to go crazy. We had friends who had been on the market for a while and ended up with horror stories before they finally had an offer accepted. Limited inventory and multiple (often cash) offers on every property. We were expecting the same bad experience, and had fully come to terms that we were in the search for the long haul.

Our mortgage broker referred us to Sydney. We met with her and I was immediately impressed with how she treated us. As first-time homebuyers, we had tons of (probably ridiculous) questions. Sydney took her time and answered all of our questions and then some. She was always there to answer our questions or to show various properties we thought we would like, and she maintained patience and an honest, no-pressure attitude. She really took the time to get to know us as people and helped to find something that was perfect for us. That really meant a lot.

I would absolutely refer my friends, family and colleagues to Sydney.

PS, After just a few weeks of searching, our first offer was accepted and we became homeowners in October 2012! We will always be grateful for all Sydney did for us.

Our Buyers Are Saying

I can't say enough what a blessing it was to work with Sydney. I'm so incredibly thankful she came into our life when she did. Our circumstance was a bit of an odd one. (We had to switch agents in the middle of transaction) Long story short, Sydney, without a shadow of a doubt, had our best interest at heart and not only saved our transaction but stopped us from having made multiple potentially costly mistakes even if it meant losing her commission. She is so ethical! She saved us thousands and thousands of dollars on purchase price, gave us impeccable advice, fought for us, stayed in contact at every step, was always available and was honest at every turn of (property specific) strange events throughout. She's a genuine good person and thoughtful too. She even brought our daughter a present at keys day along with a super thoughtful housewarming gift for us. We also appreciate that she keeps in front of us even after the close of escrow through regular newsletters, updates, emails and valuable reading material. (Last agent fell off the face of the earth after close) so Sydney, we cant ever properly thank you, but THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!

We met Sydney at an Open House for another property. At the time, we felt like the realtor that we had originally contacted was doing very little to help us find our home--we were on an automatic listserv e-mail with properties being thrown our way. We were on the lookout for someone who would be as invested as we were in finding a home for us.

The housing market was absolutely crazy when we were looking and we found that most properties were going significantly over asking. Sydney was not daunted, although we were. She listened to our wants and needs and was enthusiastic for us when we were feeling down.

We worked with Sydney to make offers on homes, and she was professional enough to bring in supportive colleagues to help determine what would be fair and competitive offers in this very strange market.

Sydney was very responsive whenever we had questions and very proactive. She is a busy woman with a busy life, but she never made us feel like we were "taking her time."

In the end, we offered on three homes, finally landing in a home in Willow Glen in a lovely neighborhood. We are very grateful for the work that Sydney did. If you are looking for your home, call her!!
